This series of free eye health services with the slogan "My Eyes are My World", apart from Waa Banti village, will also be held on March 27-28 in several other villages in the areas of Mapurujaya, Wangirja (SP9), Utikini Baru (SP12) Mioko, Aikawapuka, Wumuka and Kapiraya and also in the city of Timika.

A patient in Waa Banti Village, Isaiah Dibitau (50), came with an eye problem that he had been suffering from for a long time. He said that his eyes had been hit by wood chips while he was gardening. “After hearing the announcement in the church about the examination, I came so I could have my eyes checked and see better. "I thank Freeport Indonesia and the doctors," said Isaiah.

In addition to free eye examination health services, PTFI together with partners will also provide free cataract surgery for people who need cataract surgery based on the results of cataract screening. Cataract surgery will be carried out at Mitra Masyarakat Hospital at the peak of this Social Service activity on April 5.

"Hopefully this free eye health service can be a good first step to strengthen people's health and improve their quality of life," said Claus.
