Acting Director General of Mineral and Coal, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Lt. Gen. TNI Retired Bambang Suswanto, at the Gala Dinner and award presentation, gave special appreciation to PTFI and all the winners. "Congratulations to PT Freeport Indonesia for representing Indonesia and succeeding in becoming the best company in implementing good mining principles," he said.
Bambang continued, "We hope that more mining companies in Indonesia will implement the same principles and can run their business in a sustainable way for a better mining future."
Hengky also added that PTFI's victory in the Good Mining Practice Metallic Mineral category is a reflection of the implementation of the SINCERE values (Safety, Integrity, Commitment, Respect and Excellence) which all PTFI employees implement every day. "This award is a positive appreciation that should encourage us to continue to prioritize good mining operations, in line with SINCERE's core values," said Hengky.
