PTFI Proud to be the Main Sponsor for Indonesia National Soccer Team

Continuing the contribution in the field of sports and as a form of PT Freeport Indonesia's (PTFI) attention for the development of young Indonesian athletes, the advancement of the national football sport, and the improvement of Indonesia's sports achievements on the international stage, PTFI is proud to provide full support to the national team (national team) of Indonesian football in the form of sponsorship funds for the next year.
PTFI's sponsorship funds will be fully utilized by PSSI to finance the expenses and activities of the Indonesian men's and women's soccer national teams in each age group.
The development of Indonesian youth in the field of sports will make this nation healthier, as well as have a competitive and sporty spirit on and off the playing field. PTFI is optimistic that the support from all Indonesian people will optimize the potential of the young Garudas so that they can continue to carry the name of Indonesia soar higher.
In addition to the support for the PSSI National Team, PTFI has been providing support for the development of football in Papua by sponsoring the PERSIPURA football club, and coaching early childhood football through the Papua Football Academy (PFA) in Mimika which was inaugurated by President Jokowi in September 2022. Not only being involved in organizing the big event this time, PTFI's work has supported the development of sports in Indonesia previously, namely the XX National Sports Week (PON) event in 2021 which was held in Papua Province, and finally support for the FIBA Basketball Competition Asia Cup 2022 in Jakarta, in 2022.
