This activity is a collaboration between PTFI and the Mimika District Health Service as a commitment to public health services. Through this collaboration, PTFI will renovate the Community Health Centers building covering an area of 16.5m x 9m with work items such as dismantling and installing new walls, ceiling and floor work, painting the outer and inner walls, making water tanks and pipe installation, as well as providing a lactation room.

Apart from that, a new facility will be built through this collaboration for medical waste storage space with a building area of 3m x 4m. This renovation is expected to improve the quality of health services for the community. The Health Service is committed to providing facilities, infrastructure, medicines and health personnel according to the standards set by the government.

When met after the signing ceremony, Engel Enoch explained, "This collaboration is part of PTFI's commitment to support the Mimika Regency Government in providing health services, especially for communities living around the PTFI area." Obviously.

Engel Enoch also explained that Nayaro Community Health Centers previously existed and services to the community were running, but the service was disrupted because the building was starting to deteriorate and needed repairs. Therefore, PTFI is renovating the Community Health Centers building in Nayaro. Nayaro is a village directly affected by PTFI's mining operations, so it is certain that the company (PTFI) is paying attention to ensuring that health services for the Nayaro community run well.

“Nayaro is one of the villages targeted by community development and empowerment programs. "In addition to health programs, PTFI carries out various economic programs in Nayaro such as sago plantations, vegetable cultivation, as well as providing transportation support for the community to carry out activities in Timika City, including marketing their garden products." Engel Enoch said.

Martina Siska Magay, representing the Health Service, also explained that after the Health Service Building has been renovated, additional medical personnel will be added in Nayaro. "The Community Health Centers Building in Nayaro is included in the working area of the Timika Community Health Center, so to add additional medical personnel, we from the Department will collaborate with the Timika Community Health Center to add medical personnel to the Nayaro Health Service." Obviously.

Martina also expressed her gratitude to PTFI for being willing to help with the renovation of Nayaro Community Health Centers buildings. And in the future, the Department will communicate more frequently with companies, especially in health services in remote areas that need special access to be able to reach and provide services to the community.
