The Muslims and Muslim women of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) mingled together in the togetherness of Eid al-Adha 1445H from the Highlands to the Lowlands. Eid prayers are held in the Lowland area centered at the Baiturahim Kuala Kencana Mosque, and in the Highland area they are held at the Tembagapura Football Field.
"On behalf of the Management of PT Freeport Indonesia, we would like to express our gratitude to the 1445 Ramadhan and Qurban Program Implementation Committee (P3RQ), the Shohibul Qurban (congregants who sacrifice) and the Muslim community in all PTFI work areas who have helped enliven the implementation of Eid al-Adha within PTFI," said Eman Widijanto, Vice President Mining Safety Division representing PTFI Management.
On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Eman also invited all employees present to pay attention to work standards and remain focused on work and not become complacent so that we can all prevent undesirable things and continue working safely. Not to forget, Eman also invited everyone to continue to uphold the company's values, SINCERE, especially in making sacrifices on the Eid al-Adha holiday this year.
In the momentum of Eid al-Adha this time, Muslims in all PTFI work areas interpret this holiday by carrying out the command to sacrifice. The nominal amount of Qurban funds collected by the PTFI Muslim employee community was Rp. 960,000,000, -. A total of 36 cows and 3 sacrificial goats were distributed to recipients through Timika City mosques, Timika Settlement Centers, and also through several Amil Zakat Agencies in Papua Province.
In the Kuala Kencana area, the PTFI Lowlands Muslim community also celebrated Eid al-Adha with various activities ranging from takbir around the city to tablig akhbar, Eid prayers at the Baitur Rahim Mosque in Kuala Kencana, and different books attended by employees and their families.
The atmosphere of the Eid al-Adha celebration felt even warmer with moments of halal bihalal and eating together, as well as visits to the homes of co-workers and family at Jobsite which lasted all day. Colleagues and relatives visit each other and celebrate this happy day.
