Excellence will occur when all of other SINCERE values (Safety, Integrity, Commitment and Respect) are implemented. This value is reflected by the roof of a house supported by 4 pillars which are the other SINCERE values. When PTFI employees behave such as: always put safety first, act as what he/she speaks, commit to his/her environment and treat other with respect although different to his/her own, he or she have fulfilled the foundation to become true expected PTFI employees. The next behavior expected are, among others, promoting change, exploring new options and challenges to be excellent.
No matter where we are in the company, we should explore new method, new procedure, new idea to make our job done more efficiently. We should not be complacent to what we are currently doing. For example, a truck driver will try to increase his/her competence to increase the productivity. An HR specialist will strive not only to get the job done but to ensure that his/her customers (other employees) are satisfied with his/her services provided. A miner will always find new ways to increase production level safely.
We are familiar with the saying of “Bekerja sesuai basis” (work as per paygrade). This saying reflects complacent to what we are doing. This behavior is not according to our value. We will not be able to achieve our sustainable safe production target by accepting current practice and not willing to challenge it. Development in our work is our responsibilities. We are responsible to innovate and think out of the box as part of unlocking potential within us in workplace.
Being excellent in our workplace reflect that we are grateful to what the company has given to us. And we should give our best to improve our selves and the company as we go toward excellence in achieving company targets.
