PTFI President Director's Visit to Jobsite during the COVID-19 Pandemic Period

22 June 2020

On the first opportunity to travel to Papua, after restrictions were lifted, Tony Wenas, PTFI President Director, went back to Tembagapura.

During a brief visit made on June 18, 2020, he had the opportunity to visit Ridge Camp and greet Operations Maintenance employees working at the Tera Shop, MP72 and medical officers at Tembagapura Hospital.

“After four months of not going, I told myself I had to go once the flights had reopened,” Tony Wenas said. “Why? Because I need to convey my appreciation in person to all the teams at Jobsite who worked with exceptional grit and resilience to fight COVID-19 while maintaining a high production rate. I wanted to show my appreciation to all the employees here, especially the medical team who have worked so hard for us.”

For the jobsite employees, this visit bring a meaning of deep, moral support for all those carrying out their work during the pandemic.
