Over the 10-day program, a total of 192 employees from various PTFI divisions enthusiastically participated.
Designed to provide in-depth education, this initiative introduced employees to different types and classifications of fires and the correct use of fire extinguishers. In addition to theoretical sessions, participants were given hands-on experience in eradicating fires using portable fire extinguishers available around the area. Through this interactive approach, employees are expected to be better prepared and more responsive in handling potential fire incidents in the workplace.
One of the participants, Mochamad Gaus, an employee of PT Pangan Sari Utama, expressed his appreciation for the campaign. “This program was engaging because we received theoretical knowledge about fire incidents and were given the opportunity to practice using firefighting equipment firsthand. Additionally, there were unique rewards for those who successfully answered the provided questions,” he stated.
PTFI remains committed to creating a safe and accident-free work environment through various strategic initiatives. The Fire Prevention campaign is part of PTFI’s ongoing commitment to fostering a stronger safety culture in the workplace. Safety is not just an individual responsibility but a shared commitment that must be upheld consistently. (Cherry Wospakrik)
