"Of course this is very valuable for us, especially for PTFI employees to continue to serve and work for Indonesia," said Tony.

Muhamad Ihsan, the CEO and Chief Editor of Warta Ekonomi, described PTFI as a legendary company that has been operating in Indonesia since the early 1970s. He highlighted that Freeport has been able to adapt to various conditions and credited its success to building a strong community around the company and prioritizing environmental development and protection, as emphasized by Jusuf Kalla.

Tony explained that the award he received was proof of the sustainability efforts that the company had made so far. "This appreciation reflects the company's commitment and the support of all employees and the community for Freeport Indonesia to carry out safe and sustainable production," said Tony.

Since operating, said Tony, PTFI has implemented sustainable operational activities in the environmental and social sectors, by implementing good mining principles or Good Mining Practice.

In the community development program, PTFI continues to strive to provide added value for the surrounding community and stakeholders through economic, educational, health, cultural and infrastructure contributions that are in line with achieving the SDGs.

"Of course this is very valuable for us, especially for PTFI employees to continue to serve and work for Indonesia," said Tony.

CEO and Chief Editor of Warta Ekonomi Muhamad Ihsan said PTFI is a legendary company that has been operating in Indonesia since the early 1970s. "Freeport can survive in various eras, proving that it can adapt to various conditions. "The key, as Mr. Jusuf Kalla said, is to build the community around the company, develop and protect the environment," said Ihsan.

Ihsan explained that PTFI, whose majority shares have been owned by the Indonesian government since 2018, has made the community a partner and target of development. Apart from roads, bridges and city facilities, PTFI is also building sports facilities and a football academy in Papua.

"The company's contribution to the country is not only given through taxes and dividends, but also its support for various government programs, including supporting PSSI. I think that is the secret to Freeport's success in surviving as one of the legendary companies in Indonesia. "I am sure that the people of Papua and Indonesia will always support Freeport," said Ihsan.
