Eid Adha in Tembagapura

The spirit of PT Freeport Indonesia's employees and Muslim community in the remote Jayawijaya mountains, in Tembagapurater shines when they celebrate Eid al-Adha 1444H.
Eid al-Adha, which falls on Thursday, June 29, 2023, begins with a joint Eid prayer at the Tembagapura Square and Kuala Kencana City Square. Hundreds of Muslims in Tembagapura and Kuala Kencana in the Lowlands gathered to perform Eid prayers together.
Employees from Ridge Camp also joined the community and employees at Tembagapura.
The atmosphere throughout the day was colored by the warmth of friendship between residents, by visiting families celebrating Eid al-Adha in Josbite.
