"This means that the largest Underground Mine in the world has been integrated with the largest Single-line Copper Smelter in the world, and together with PT Smelting, will produce 1 million tons of Copper Cathodes annually. Making Freeport Indonesia the largest upstream to downstream copper mining in the world," Tony emphasized.

The flag-hoisting ceremony at Tembagapura Soccer Field set a new record of Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) for the Implementation of the Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony at the highest elevation, held at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level. The MURI certificate was received directly by the PTFI President Director, Tony Wenas after the ceremony.

"I congratulate the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia to the entire extended family of PTFI, wherever you are. Roll up your sleeves, and let us work together safely and securely, from the land of Papua for an advanced Indonesia," Tony concluded.
