"Through Lari Warna Nusantara (National Color Run), we want to invite all employees to celebrate 80 years of Indonesian Independence with enthusiasm, health, and happiness. This activity embodies togetherness and the spirit of mutual cooperation, reflecting the national values we uphold at PTFI," said PTFI President Director Tony Wenas.

The Fun Run took place on August 3, 2025, with employees all dressed in traditional attire as a form of appreciation for Indonesia's cultural diversity in the spirit of commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Participants were required to prioritize safety, including a warm-up session before starting the 5-kilometer run to prevent injury. The event was then marked by the raising of the starting flag by PTFI's Executive Vice President of Corporate Planning and Business Strategy Smelter, Horst Dieter Garz.

Tony stated that PTFI consistently supports various activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, both in the workplace and within the community. The spirit of sport within the company was also demonstrated through the Freeport Olympic event, which involved the participation of employees from various PTFI work locations, from Tembagapura, Kuala Kencana, Jakarta, to Gresik. The various sports contested included badminton, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, bowling, billiards, and e-sports.

PTFI, as the world's largest integrated copper mining company from upstream to downstream, also celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Throughout August, PTFI held various activities that fostered the spirit of nationalism and mutual cooperation at its five work locations, from upstream in Papua— including Tembagapura, Kuala Kencana, and Nabire—to downstream in Gresik, East Java, and Jakarta.

In Tembagapura, various competitions and cultural performances were held with residents of Banti Village. In the Mimika Lowlands, Freeport Indonesia employees participated in community service and a cleanup with hundreds of residents of Ayuka and Tipuka Villages. In Nabire, for the first time, there will be free eye education and examinations for 1,000 schoolchildren, the distribution of 500 free pairs of glasses, and the culmination will be free cataract surgery for the community. In Gresik, there will be a blood drive, digital training for Gresik MSMEs, and the Melodi Tembaga Nusantara Concert. The culmination will be a simultaneous 80th Indonesian Independence Commemoration Ceremony attended by employees and contractors at five PTFI work locations.

All activities will be carried out in a spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness with the local community. Together with the nation's best sons and daughters, PTFI continues to contribute to the nation, conducting safe and sustainable operations as a form of gratitude for 80 years of Indonesian independence.
