Finally, the people of Kampung Waa Banti can live more comfortably in their home sweet home.
After having to leave their village for security reasons in 2017, the people of Banti were able to return to their hometown in Tembagapura District. However, several infrastructures in thier village were damage. They came back and found their home without clean water nor electricity.
In mid-2021 PTFI supported by the Village Head, TNI-POLRI began repairing the clean water and electricity network in Waa Banti Village. Uniquely, this clean water and electricity supply project is carried out by PTFI employees, some of whom are residents of the village of Banti and its surroundings.
PTFI's Vice President of Sustainable Development, Nathan Kum, expressed his gratitude to the local government through the village head who had provided socialization to the residents before the work began, and the TNI-POLRI who had assisted in security during the work.
Thanks to the good cooperation between the Village Head, TNI-POLRI and various departments at PTFI who have completed this project with zero accidents, the people in Waa Banti can return to live in their hometown more comfortably.
