PT Freeport Indonesia Holds Halal Bihalal, Fostering Collaboration with Rembuk Akur Stakeholders

Gresik, April 23, 2025 – The Smelter Division of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) held a Halal Bihalal with Stakeholders to strengthen relationships and maintain harmony with external partners on Wednesday (04/23). The event was warm and filled with a sense of togetherness, attended by over 170 stakeholders from government agencies, religious leaders, academics, community organizations, industrial partners, and local communities around PTFI’s smelter operations in Gresik. These stakeholders are also participants of the Rembuk Akur Forum, which has been held nine times since 2023.
In his remarks, Vice President of Business Process Smelting & Refining PTFI, Aripin Buman, stated, “The Rembuk Akur Forum is not just a space for dialogue, but a symbol of how we work openly, inclusively, and with respect for every aspiration within the community. Long-term success can only be achieved through synergy between the company, the community, and stakeholders,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Gresik Regency Regional Secretary, Ahmad Washil Miftahul Rahman, also expressed his appreciation to PTFI. “Gatherings like this are an inseparable part of efforts to build synergy. Through synergy, everything can be achieved faster and more effectively, especially in advancing and strengthening the region, particularly in Manyar, Bungah, and Gresik Regency,” he said.
He also conveyed his hope for continued collaboration. “We appreciate the CSR initiatives of PT Freeport Indonesia, including the implementation of the Rembuk Akur program which has now run nine times. Our hope is that PT Freeport Indonesia will continue to be a strategic partner for the communities in Manyar, Bungah, and Gresik Regency as a whole,” he added.
In addition to the speeches and social interactions, the event also featured various forms of entertainment, a photobooth, interactive quizzes with prizes, and a performance by a local band.
Closing the event, the VP of PTFI called on all parties to maintain the spirit of collaboration not only in formal spaces but also in everyday life.
