PTFI Inaugurates Its Airfast Boeing 737 Max-8

PTFI-President Director, Tony Wenas accompanied Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia inaugurates Boeing 737 Max-8 operated by Airfast Indonesia, at Halim Perdana Kusumah Jakarta Airport, on Monday (5/2) 

Tony Wenas delightly announced the Boeing 737 Max-8 inauguration to replace the McDonnell Douglas MD-82/83. 

"We look forward to carrying our employees and their families in the utmost safety and comfort and to moving closer to our 2050 carbon-neutral goals,” Tony said. 

The Boeing 737 Max-8 will provide Airfast with greater range and fuel efficiency, reducing both fuel use and carbon emissions by 30% compared to the McDonnell Douglas MD-82/83 the Airfast is replacing. 

In operating this aircraft, Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Karya Sumadi, emphasized the importance of safety and security aspects by preparing competent pilots and flight crews. 

“Airfast Indonesia must prepare the safety and security aspects for the B737-8 Max aircraft. Apart from that, what is no less important is the obligation to prepare pilots and flight crew who have certification and health so they are fit to fly," said Budi.

The Boeing 737 Max-8 registered with PK-OFI which operated by PT Airfast Indonesia has received the Certificate of Airworthiness from Directoral General of Civil Aviation on January 4, 2024 while the operational certificate has been done since August 2023 through January 3, 2024.
