Freeport Indonesia Ensures Accurate Information for Stakeholders
Timika, November 19, 2025 – PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) reaffirms its commitment to maintaining transparency and accuracy of information for stakeholders regarding the incident that occurred in the GBC area. The company has conducted a series of structured socialization activities to provide updates on the situation, mitigation steps, and operational recovery plans.
“PTFI implements communication procedures that ensure stakeholders receive complete and factual information. This is important to maintain public trust in operational safety and the ongoing recovery processes,” said Engel Enoch, VP of Community Relations at PTFI.
As of November 19, 2025, the Community Affairs Team has reached 98% of the 200 priority stakeholders, including local governments, traditional institutions, partners, assisted entrepreneurs, community organizations, and security elements.
The outreach materials include:
• Chronology of events
• Current conditions of the GBC area
• Security measures that have been implemented by the company
In addition, PTFI has prepared an official communication channel to provide updates if there are significant developments. The company will also continue communication with those not yet reached and coordinate with Government Relations to convey information to the relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD).
