GBC Production Gathering 2025 : Teamwork is the Key to Success

Tembagapura, January 24th, 2025 – The GBC Production Gathering 2025 event held at Sporthall Tembagapura brought an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and togetherness. With the theme “Unifying Excellence for Greater and Steady Production”, this event is a form of appreciation for the hard work of the companyand the entire Grasberg Block Cave (GBC) team. It was also a moment to strengthen cohesiveness to face future production challenges.
“I am proud to see the extraordinary enthusiasm of my colleagues. Initially, we were worried that the event would only be attended by 20 or 40 people, but today more than 300 people came,” said Catur Budianto, Manager of GBC Op Mine-Underground.
In his speech, Catur emphasized the importance of teamwork and unity. “We all come from far away to make a living, but without the support of our colleagues around us, things wouldn’t run smoothly. Remember, we are a team that must support each other to ensure we can overcome any challenge together,” he said.
The event began in the morning at the Tembagapura Soccer Field with Zumba gymnastics and cheerswhich were energizing.This was followed by contested team games such as paper cup tower, dragon tail hunter, tug of war, and blind soccer All participants, both young and old, were in high spirits.
“Through activities like this, I can get to know colleagues from other divisions who previously rarely met. This activity is very exciting and meaningful,” said Michelle, one of GBC Underground's employees.
After having lunch together, the atmosphere became even livelier with the musical performance of Komustra (Tembagapura Music Community), the announcement of competition winners, individual awards, quizzes, and door prizes. In his speech, Nico Montecino, General Superintendent of Production, expressed appreciation for the contribution of all the employees.
“Thanks to all the GBC team. What you do every day, even if it seems ordinary, actually has a big impact on ensuring production is running well. The challenges at this mine have not been easy, but we have proven that teamwork is the answer,” Said Nico.
He also added the importance of maintaining safety and making it a priority. fail in that aspect, then all our achievements are meaningless. “Let’s continue to improve coordination, communication, and teamwork to face the challenges of 2025,” he concluded.
The event closed with a speech from the Manager of Batch Plat & CIP, Birat Setyoko, emphasizing the importance of maintaining togetherness, staying humble, and continuing to work hard. Through the spirit created at this gathering, GBC Production is optimistic about facing the new year with cohesiveness and determination to achieve larger, safer, and more sustainable production targets.
