PTFI Receives Search and Rescue Award

In commemoration of the 51st Anniversary of the National Search and Rescue Agency (BNPP/Basarnas), Basarnas gave appreciation and appreciation to four institutions representing government agencies, business/private entities, academics/universities and communities who have played a role in supporting the implementation of tasks and Basarnas functions.
PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) is the only company that received the SAR award for the company's contribution and support for the effot to organize search and rescue in various incidents that occurred in the country. The award was given at the opening ceremony of the Basarnas Working Meeting and the National Search and Rescue Potential Coordination Forum (FKP3) which was attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo on Thursday, 16 February 2023, at the Kemayoran Basarnas Building, Jakarta.
This SAR award was received directly by VP Mining Safety Eman Widijanto. "The SAR Award from Basarnas is an appreciation and acknowledgment of PTFI's capability and commitment related to preparedness in dealing with and overcoming disasters and extraordinary events, including a commitment to support and assist in disasters or emergency conditions outside PTFI's work area," said Eman Widijanto.
In addition to receiving the award, Eman Widijanto also had the opportunity to explain PTFI's operations and PTFI's SAR program at the Search and Rescue Potential Coordination Forum (FKP3) Talkshow event which was attended and also followed online by Basarnas members and the FKP3 community from various regions in Indonesia.
