PTFI Starts COVID-19 Vaccination Program for Employees and Community
29 June 2021
Carl Tauran, PTFI’s Executive Vice President-Site Operations became the first person at Jobsite to receive a COVID-19 vaccine under the companywide Program Vaksinasi Gotong Royong (Mutual Cooperation Vaccination Program). Tauran received the vaccination June 28 at the Tembagapura Sporthall, officially kicking off the program at Jobsite. More than 500 PTFI employees and families in Jakarta already received the vaccine earlier in June.
Tony Wenas, PTFI President Director said the company's priority is to protect the health and safety of its employees and to provide a safe working environment.
“The Gotong Royong Vaccination program is facilitated by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Indonesian State-owned Enterprises to allow the PTFI community to get their COVID-19 vaccine,” Wenas said.
Tauran reminded everyone that getting a vaccine is something you do not just for yourself.
"When you get vaccinated, you are not only protecting yourself, you are also protecting everyone around you, the whole community. Let’s maintain our health protocols – wearing a mask, washing hands and maintaining physical distance – while we are protecting our PTFI family through the vaccination," Tauran said.
Tauran invites all employees and families to take part in the vaccination program to help achieve herd immunity for the PTFI community.
The company vaccination program aims to give COVID-19 vaccine to more than 38,000 people in all PTFI locations. As of end of June 2021, more than 4,000 Freeporters in Tembagapura and Kuala Kencana had participated in the COVID-19 vaccination program.
