National OHS Month reflects our commitment to compliance and care. Safety is not just a rule – it’s a culture. No production target is worth more than life and health. Every safe step is an investment in our future. Let’s rise together, work safely, and work healthily—because safety is the key to success for ourselves, our families, and our company.

Carl Tauran, EVP Site Operations & Technical Mine Manager PTFI

These words set the tone for the opening of National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month 2026, held on January 12, 2026 at TRMP HD Shop Mile Post 39. The message is clear: safety is not a checkbox, but a shared value that shapes how people work, how teams care for one another, and how a sustainable future is built.

Speaking from Gresik and addressing audiences across Papua’s Jobsite via live stream, the President Director emphasized the power of connection and shared responsibility “National OHS month is not just about fulfilling a national mandate—it is a reflection of our commitment to making safety and health the foundation of every operation. Safety is at the core of our company values—SINCERE: Safety, Integrity, Commitment, Respect, and Excellence. Safety is not just an operational matter; it’s about all of us. Safety starts with me, it begins with each of us.”

The event began with a Management Inspection, reinforcing leadership’s commitment to active oversight. A Moment of Silence honored colleagues who remind us why vigilance matters. The Indonesian National Anthem and the company march echoed through the venue, symbolizing unity and pride in a common purpose: work safely, return home safely.

The event reached far beyond one room—live streamed to Mile Post 62, 72, 74, and Grasberg, and to the smelter site in Gresik, East Java—connecting thousands of employees in a single commitment.

The day’s agenda included a corporate video, a safe work practice demonstration, and Safety Guidance & Fatal Risk Management, before moving into community moments: group photos, a cultural performance by Iyakoko Patea, booth promotions, and a light yet meaningful interactive quiz that wove learning into shared experience. A closing prayer asked for wisdom to choose care, courage to speak up, and humility to keep learning.

In the end, safety is not just about regulations—it’s about people, families, and futures. With an inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable spirit, the company continues to make safety not only how work is done, but how people are valued.

Bangkit bersama, kerja selamat, kerja sehat.
Safety is us. And we are the future.
