A different atmosphere was seen at lunch time at Messhall Kenanga, Superblock-Ridgecamp Mile Post 72 on Wednesday, March 6. PTFI management was present in the middle of the employee's lunch. More than 1,500 portion of meals and condiments were served for this event.
Eating with employees, having specific topics for discussion, sharing management’s perspectives, answering questions, PTFI Technical Mine Manager and EVP Site Operations, Carl Tauran believes in bonding with all PTFI employees.
George Banini, Executive Vice President of Operations-PTFI added that, this special lunch is just one of several employee engagement initiatives PTFI implemented.
“PTFI Management are looking to go the extra mile to build a bond with employees.” Carl Tauran said.
Fueling the body appropriately and providing ourselves with the correct nutrients is essential for us, Carl added.
“To work optimally and help us be more focused, eating balanced nutrition is necessary. It can helps us to be more focused and to maintain improved concentration and decision making.” Carl said.
George Banini, also emphasized that one of the foundation of all foundation for our safety program is FRM (Fatal Risk Management).
“We are one team with one goal, safety and health of all employees. Before you start a job, evaluate and determine what could go wrong by do your FRM.” Banini said.
In this occasion, birthday employees had special surprises by management such as a slice of birthday cake and birthday present.
Roni Saputra, a birthday employee, got a special surprise and had a chance to celebrate his birthday today with the PTFI Management.
“I didn’t expect, today the PTFI Management team had a lunch at Kenanga Messhall and handed me over a birthday present.” Roni said.
Sri Nengsih Watora, Central Services employees’ shared her first experience had a lunch with PTFI Management.
“I have never been in this kind of situation, sit next to Pak Ulya Hidayat, Vice President Central Services-PTFI and the PTFI Management team and listened to their stories. Thank you for the opportunity.” Watora said.
For Cokro Sudarsono, Underground Mine employees', it was a great experience to have a lunch with Matthew Sullivan, Senior Vice President Underground Mine-PTFI and George Banini, Executive Vice President of Operations-PTFI.
“This special lunch gave me a chance to get to know closer with Pak George. We share our hobby to get into trail running, I hope this initiative will sustain.” He said.
