"This joint prayer reflects gratitude for 80 years of Indonesian independence and serves as a momentum to strengthen the spirituality and nationalism of all PTFI employees. In Tembagapura, Ustaz Rukmana Al Garuty encouraged all PTFI employees to celebrate Indonesia's independence by responsibly preserving its natural resources. In his sermon, Rev. Yandi Manobe conveyed that a person with faith can have an impact on the nation: "Obedience to God shapes a life that is useful—not only for oneself, but also for others. From a life rooted in faith, real impacts are born that build, strengthen, and bring light to the nation," he said.

At the PTFI Gresik Smelter, KH. Ainur Rofiq Toyyib, Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) for Gresik Regency, stated that 80 years of Indonesian independence is a great gift from God. He invited all smelter employees to pray for their continued work  for Indonesia, leading the nation to greater progress. Meanwhile, Rev. Swesty Amanupunnjo, at the GKI  Tabaernakel Oyehe in Nabire, Central Papua, conveyed in her sermon that faith is not just about belief,  but also about action.

"When we work and live with integrity, we not only build ourselves but also make a real impact on the  nation," said Rev. Swesty.
PTFI, the world's largest integrated copper mining company from upstream to downstream, also  celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Throughout August, PTFI held various  activities that fostered the spirit of nationalism and mutual cooperation at its five work sites, from  upstream in Papua—including Tembagapura, Kuala Kencana, and Nabire—to downstream in Gresik, East Java, and Jakarta.

In Tembagapura, various competitions and cultural performances were held with residents of Banti Village. In the Lowlands, social service and village cleaning activities were held in Ayuka and Tipuka, as well as competitions for children and adults. In Nabire, free cataract surgeries were held, combined with education and free eye exams for 1,000 schoolchildren. In Gresik, blood drives, digital training for Gresik MSMEs, and the Melodi Tembaga Nusantara Concert took place. The culmination was the 80th Indonesian Independence Day Commemoration Ceremony, attended by all employees and contractors at PTFI's five work locations.

All activities were carried out in a spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness with the local community. Together with the nation's best sons and daughters, PTFI continues to contribute to the nation, conducting safe and sustainable operations as a form of gratitude for Indonesia's 80th anniversary of independence.  (Corporate Communications)
